About
Meet the team

Owner/Managing Director
Shaun Judkins
After a successful 24-year career in the dairy industry, the time felt right to embark on a new journey – and that journey lead to the field of memorial work.
Though the move from the dairy industry to memorial work may seem like an unexpected turn, the values I upheld within that industry are repeated in this field.
I have always been about helping those around me. Now that help extends to families going through what can be classed as one of their hardest moments – choosing a fitting memorial for a loved one. For me, memorial work is about bringing closure for the families we serve.
I am keen to identify ever evolving changes within the industry and where those changes help our team, help our families – embed those changes. For me, there’s always an opportunity to uptrain and upskill our staff.
When I’m not working – I’m an active rester that loves and cherishes family time. I’m a big believer in the saying “don’t look back and regret the things you never did”.

I enjoy community involvement and am keenly invested in Headstone Warehouse being involved in the community as a solid business that the district can rely upon.
As with all local business, I’m proud to call Headstone Warehouse locally owned and operated and the fact that Headstone Warehouse was established in 1914 is important to me. Preserving history through art, epitaphs, and granite is something valuable to our district. Behind every life is a story each of us want to remember.
I have three adult children who all live between Hawera and Australia, with three gorgeous grandchildren. Family is important to me and a lazy weekend with a table of food and friends is how I like to spend my time when not at work.
