Plaques

A plaque is a thin piece of polished granite, also called a panel or tablet. Plaques are not thick enough to be self supporting and must be set on to a solid substrate, this is usually concrete or local andesite rock. They are available in various sizes and in all our standard colours, please see our price list for sizes and costs. Remember our prices always include the inscription in white or silver.

Some cemetery cremation areas specify a plaque is the only option allowed while others have more everlasting upright headstones. We can also set plaques on older family monuments where a later internment has taken place. These are generally made from the same colour granite if it is still available and the inscription style matched. You will see some examples illustrated here as well as plaques set onto rocks. Identification inscriptions have been removed.
